Lampasas City Council approved a Fiscal Year 2024 appraisal district budget and voted to move forward with a revised Hostess House renovation plan on Monday night. After taking no action on the Lampasas Central Appraisal District budget in a previous meeting June 26, council members unanimously OK’d the budget during the regular session on Monday night.

On July 7 at 2:33 p.m., Lampasas Police Department officers responded to a crash involving a city dump truck and a 16-yearold motorcyclist. Police Chief Jody Cummings said the department received a call from a city employee who “reported his dump truck had been struck by a motorcycle” at the intersection of East Avenue H and Casbeer Street.
