Delores Atkinson, general manager of Kempner Water Supply Corp., on Wednesday night was given a 3.5 percent pay raise by the entity’s board of directors. Her salary was not disclosed. The vote was 7-1, with one of the nine board members – George McClintock – absent.

Texas does a wonderful job of shaming women who rely on Medicaid, Julie Oliver told a group of about 20 Saturday afternoon at a town hall meeting in Lampasas. Oliver is a Democratic candidate for U.S. House District 25.

Lampasas had a relatively calm Spring Ho week, thanks in part to an enhanced police presence.

Twenty Lampasas Police Department officers combined for a total of 207 overtime hours during the festival.
