LCHEC seeks funding for wireman program

The Lampasas County Higher Education Center is eying funds to develop a lab for its residential wireman course that is yet to get off the ground.The residential wireman class will focus on the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems in homes and small residential buildings.

The Lampasas High School Class of 1980 will gather on the patio (indoors) at Putters & Gutters Fun Center, 2341 South U.S. Highway 281 in Lampasas, on July 12 from 12:30-3 p.m.Everyone is on their own for food and alcoholic beverages. Water and tea will be available.

Lampasas County 27th District Court convened last week with Judge Debbie Garrett presiding over the day’s hearings.Defendant Thomas Luther Workman of Copperas Cove entered a plea of guilty to a charge of driving while intoxicated-third or more and pleaded true to the prior charges.
