Several wayfinding signs now in place around town

Residents may have noticed some new blue signs flanking both sides of Key Avenue, highlighting landmarks and notable sites around town. The signs are the result of a city-funded project coming to fruition.

Courthouse repairs shift to upstairs

RKJ Construction has shifted its attention to the second-floor windows of the Lampasas County Courthouse after wrapping up the downstairs windows last month.The construction firm is restoring all 62 windows at the historic courthouse.

Badger baseball holds annual awards banquet

The Badger baseball team along with coaches, parents and others gathered at Burleson 1856 last week to celebrate the season and present awards to the players.

Lampasas ISD’s Teacher Incentive application OK’d

Lampasas ISD Assistant Superintendent Dana Holcomb announced in Monday’s Board of Trustees meeting that the district’s application to develop a Teacher Incentive Allotment program had been accepted.

Sgt. Sheldon set to retire from Lampasas Police Department

For nearly his entire life, all Sgt. Steve Sheldon has known is law enforcement. After 30-plus years in the field, he is ready to bid his position farewell.Sheldon has been with the Lampasas Police Department since 2003, where he has served in multiple capacities.
