Local 4-H Gold Star, Silver Clover winners honored

Two 4-H members from Lampasas County were among the 12 youth and five adults honored during the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service’s District 7 4-H Gold Star and Silver Clover Banquet.The annual event was held at the Tom Green County 4-H center in San Angelo.

L-M Club makes donation to assist San Saba Garden Club

On Nov. 17, the L-M Garden Club held its annual Thanksgiving dinner for members, their families and friends. A group of 33 people attended and shared delicious food and great fellowship.Decorations were prepared by Gail Eltgroth and Laurie Davis. The food was prepared by all members.

33rd annual TriCounty Toy Run set for Dec. 7

The TriCounty Toy Run of Central Texas has set its 33rd annual event for Dec. 7, starting at the Frank W. Mayborn Civic & Convention Center in Temple.Registration begins at 9 a.m., with the ride to kick off at 1 p.m. and end at The Hangar at Deer Pasture Airfield outside Lampasas.

Carol of Lights ready to bring tidings of joy to area residents

Christmas cheer will ring throughout the downtown square for the annual Carol of Lights celebration, set for Dec. 6.Previously, the event was sponsored by Vision Lampasas, but the torch has been passed to the Lampasas Downtown Association, formerly known as the Courtyard Square Association.
