Oak Hill Cemetery Association The Oak Hill Cemetery Association will meet Nov. 2 at 10 a.m. in the mezzanine of the Calvert Municipal Building for the annual membership and regular directors’ meetings.

Students donate to help teachers fight cancer

Taylor Creek Elementary School staff, students and parents raised $3,441 through the sale of “In this Family No One Fights Alone” T-shirts. The donations will go to campus teachers Denise Mays and Tammy Sheard to help in their battles against cancer. Pictured are, from left, TCE staff Michele Stivers, Sheard, Mays and Stephanie Rutland. Stivers and Rutland were instrumental in coordinating the fundraiser, said Principal Shona Moore.
