Success at Louisiana State Fair

Cort Maples, a Lampasas Middle School student, exhibited his Miniature Hereford 4-H projects last weekend at the Louisiana State Fair in Shreveport. Students from Louisiana, Texas and Arkansas were in attendance and exhibited 75 head of cattle.

Dark Sky Tour set for Nov. 22

Lampasas County Friends of the Night Sky and Vision Lampasas will host a Dark Sky Tour, conducted by astronomer Phil Ostroff and on Nov. 22, beginning at 6 p.m.

Lampasas Mission gets boost for the holidays

Thanks to the generosity of residents across Lampasas and the efforts of Scout Troops 200 and 400, the Lampasas Mission can offer more food items to families in need.Scouts dropped off bags to various Lampasas neighborhoods last week.

Local couple launches new breakfast food truck

The Kravings on Key food truck, operated by Ron and Jessica Patel, is the newest culinary addition to Lampasas.The food truck specializing in breakfast eats such as bagel sandwiches, biscuits and gravy, and more – is located along South Key Avenue at the Country Inn, which is managed by the Patels.
