Addison McDonald, a 2021 Lampasas High School graduate, received a $20,000 Area Go Texan Scholarship from the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. HLSR officials announced that 633 students received one of the organization’s educational scholarships.

THE CITADEL Catherine Hill of Kempner earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The Citadel. Hill graduated during the South Carolina Corps of Cadets commencement ceremonies on May 8.

When Robbis Storm found out his Lampasas-based band was going to be inducted into the Gatesville Country Music Hall of Fame, he was thrilled and honored, he said. His band, The Texas Elderly Brothers, will perform July 16 at the Gatesville City Auditorium.
