Lampasas fishing team competes at tournaments

Rush Greer and Hunter Smith show off the fish they caught that earned them a fourth-place finish in the Central Texas High School Tournament Trail last Sunday. The team also had eight teams compete at the Faith Angler Network last Saturday and had six of their eight teams weigh in fish.

LHS theatre presents ‘Wizard of Oz’

Two opportunities remain to view Lampasas High School’s production of “The Wizard of Oz” at the LHS cafeteria. Students will perform Saturday at 7 p.m. with gates opening at 6:30 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m. with gates to open at 1:30 p.m.The cost is $5 at the door.

County will switch to CARR transit service, ditching HOP

Lampasas County will have a new transit service in 2026.During Monday’s Lampasas County Commissioners Court meeting, members approved a resolution to dissolve affiliation with the Hill Country Transit District, also known as the HOP, and to join the Central Texas Rural Transit District.
