Both city pools expect to open this summer

Ready for some summer fun but want to stay local? The city can help with that. Both municipal pools are expected to be open around or shortly after Memorial Day weekend, according to city staff.

Court rescheduled

The office of District Clerk Edith Wagner Harrison has announced that the Lampasas County 27th District Court proceedings set for May 21 have been canceled and rescheduled for May 26, beginning at 9:45 a.m.

Airport to receive $9,000 in coronavirus funds

The Lampasas Municipal Airport is one of several Central Texas airfields that were awarded federal grants totaling $232,162 to combat the spread of coronavirus, according to U.S. Sen. John Cornyn.

A bill passed by the Texas House offers the possibility of rectifying broadband service issues in places like Lampasas County. House Bill 3853 passed on April 27 with 147 yea votes, two absent and one abstention.
