The report from the June 2 Lampasas Cattle Auction follows. Cattle and calves: Total cattle 201, compared to 480 last sale and 535 at this time last year. Compared to last sale, feeder steers and heifers were $5-$7 higher. Slaughter cows and slaughter bulls were $3-$5 higher.

KID FISH & CAMPING IN THE PARK The city of Lampasas will host a free Kid Fish and movie event Friday and Saturday in W.M. Brook Park. The event is for youth ages 2-16. The movie “The Croods: A New Age” will play Friday at 8:30 p.m. at Ruth Eakin Outdoor Theatre.
