Pedestrian killed on U.S. 281 South

A 62-year-old Lampasas man was struck by a vehicle and killed Sept. 3 after crossing U.S. Highway 281 outside a marked crosswalk.Dennis Redden was taken by Hamilton EMS to AdventHealth Rollins Brook hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

TxDOT selects Kasberg as Brownwood engineer

The Texas Department of Transportation has announced the appointment of Stephen Kasberg, P.E., as district engineer for the Brownwood District. His appointment became effective Sept. 1.Kasberg began his career with TxDOT as a summer employee in the Waco District in 2000.

4-H kickoff set for next week
