AdventHealth seeks donations to complete its kitchen renovation

Officials at AdventHealth Rollins Brook say the time has come to upgrade its tiny, outdated kitchen. Although clean and tidy, the kitchen needs to be brought up to 21st century standards. The hospital was founded by Drs. Herbert Bailey Rollins and W.M. Brook in 1935.

Man sentenced for intoxication manslaughter

A Kingsland resident is in prison after the court found him guilty of second-degree manslaughter. On April 29, Jeffery Dean Lederer was placed into custody of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for felony intoxication manslaughter shortly after he was sentenced in 27 th District Court.

School district turns down tax incentives for solar farm project

After a 40-minute deliberation Monday night, the Lampasas Independent School District Board of Trustees voted 5-2 against offering tax incentives to a solar panel farm proposed in the county.
