Animal-themed Summer Reading Story Time held at library

A teen volunteer reads a story to children ages 3-6 during Animal Story Time on Monday at the Lampasas Public Library. The library had 58 participants for the 3-6 age group and 52 for the 7-10 age, with a total of 148 people involved.

Little Night Music draws crowd downtown

Participants with their lawn chairs drew up near the courthouse bandstand June 3 to hear Zach Morris and his wife entertain for the kickoff evening of the Little Night Music series. On the schedule for the June 10 performance is the Lucas Brothers Band.

July pretrial scheduled for man who allegedly crashed car into house

Commissioners to vote Monday on possible fireworks ban

Through an order from the Texas Association of Counties, the Lampasas County Commissioners Court will discuss and possibly vote on prohibiting fireworks in the unincorporated parts of the county. The city of Lampasas already has a year-round fireworks ban.
