Sulphur Creek Car Cruise scheduled for Saturday

The Sulphur Creek Car Cruise is back this weekend for the 36th time in Lampasas. Registration for the annual event at W.M. Brook Park will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday. The burnout competition will start around noon. Entry fee is $25.

Lampasas City Council approves skate park construction

In a unanimous decision Monday evening, the Lampasas City Council approved construction of the Campbell Skate Park, a project that has been in the works since July 2020.

A new Alzheimer’s caregiver support group will begin Friday at 10 a.m. It will be offered the third Friday of every month in the conference room of the Lampasas County Office Building, 409 S. Pecan St.

Early voting for the runoff election between Kelsi Davis and Harvey Stinnett for a seat on the Lampasas Independent School District Board of Trustees will begin June 30 and run weekdays through July 8, with a holiday on July 4. Election day will be July 12.
