Storywalk book trail vandalized

Just weeks after the Storywalk book trail was installed in W.M. Brook Park, repeated vandalism has led to a partial relocation of the project. The Storywalk is a series of trail signs installed at W.M. Brook Park that display pages of a children’s picture book.

Meet the Teacher events scheduled

The first day of classes for Lampasas County students is right around the corner. School for those in the Lampasas Independent School District starts Aug. 11. For students in the Lometa Independent School District, the new term starts Aug.17.

‘We keep losing deputies’

The Lampasas County Sheriff’s Office is proposing a 6% salary increase for its patrol deputies and detention officers in the new fiscal year.

LMS MINNOW CAMP Lampasas Middle School will host Minnow Camp today from 4:15- 6:30 p.m. for incoming sixth-grade students. Minnow Camp includes a welcoming pep rally, “Getting to KNOW your teachers,” a scavenger hunt, ice cream social, a Chromebook overview and more student activities with prizes.
