Jury trial set in Phillips felony assault case

DISPATCH RECORD A jury trial has been set for a Lampasas man accused with a felony assault charge. John Carl Phillips, 45, is set for jury trial Aug. 22. His jury announcement is scheduled Aug. 12. On July 15, the 27th District Court held a hearing on a motion to suppress evidence in the case.
