Lampasas Public Library schedules events this month for patrons of all ages

dispatch record Many events for all ages are happening at the Lampasas Public Library this month. “How Pinteresting!” is back for the fall. The next session is Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. in the Library Foundation Room. The craft will be painting barn quilt patterns onto wooden trays.

The report from the Aug. 3 Lampasas Cattle Auction follows. Cattle and calves:Total cattle 722, compared to 881 last sale and 778 at this time last year. Compared to last sale, feeder steers and heifers were $5-$7 higher. Slaughter cows were $8-$10 higher, and slaughter bulls were $3-$5 higher.

Photography exhibit to run through October at museum

The Lampasas County Museum is featuring the work of two professional photographers in an exhibition that is planned to run through Oct. 29. “Picturing Lampasas: Photography by Gladden Corbin and Harold Harton” is the title of this special exhibition.
