KWSC suspends connections while awaiting plant upgrades

Kempner Water Supply Corp. has suspended new connections in the Kempner area until upgrades can be made to the corporation’s water plant.
KWSC General Manager Bruce Sorenson said a system hydraulic model was presented to board members during a special workshop meeting March 9.

On Monday, the Lampasas County Commissioners Court voted unanimously to send a letter of opposition to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality regarding an application to establish the Lampasas County Municipal Utilities District #1.

The city of Kempner will hold a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event on Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m. at Kempner City Hall, 12288 U.S. Highway 190. The event is open to residents of Lampasas, Bell, Coryell, Hamilton, Milam, Mills and San Saba counties.
