More than 200 riders gather in Lometa for ATLAS 4000

The 20th year of the ATLAS 4000 cycling tour took off from Stoneledge Winery in Lometa on Saturday morning. The group from The University of Texas is riding across the country to Alaska, with periodic stops to provide education and funding for cancer research.

Lady Badgers place fifth in state golf tournament

The Lady Badger golf team played Monday and Tuesday in Kingsland at Legends Golf Course for the state tournament, and they finished fifth among the 12 teams that competed. The Lampasas girls shot 345-345-690 over the two-day event.

Badgers split final two games of spring basketball

The Badger basketball team played its final two spring league games on Monday against Salado and Gatesville. In the matchup with Salado, the Badgers played a tough back-and-forth game where they struggled shooting the ball for large stretches.

Youth baseball and softball camp to take place next week

Starting Monday and carrying through Wednesday, a youth baseball and softball camp will be held for young Badgers and Lady Badgers. Each of the three days, from 9-10:30 a.m., incoming first- through fifth-grade students will work on hitting drills, defensive drills, pitching drills, base running and have some competitive games.
