Between 50 and 100 young Badgers gathered at Badger Field last week for the annual youth football camp. They worked on the fundamentals of tackling, rushing the passer, route running and catching, scoop and scoring a fumble, and much more.

The 72nd Annual A.C. January Memorial Golf Tournament will be held from Saturday through Memorial Day at Hancock Park Golf Course.

Lampasas Soccer Association will host an information briefing on traveling soccer for interested players and parents. The fall season will begin in September.

The Badger basketball team played its final two spring league games on Monday against Salado and Gatesville. In the matchup with Salado, the Badgers played a tough back-and-forth game where they struggled shooting the ball for large stretches.

Starting Monday and carrying through Wednesday, a youth baseball and softball camp will be held for young Badgers and Lady Badgers. Each of the three days, from 9-10:30 a.m., incoming first- through fifth-grade students will work on hitting drills, defensive drills, pitching drills, base running and have some competitive games.

The Badgers will host a youth football camp May 15-17. Each day will run from 4-6 p.m.
