The Lady Badger softball team hit the road Tuesday night and took care of business. The girls tallied 13 hits and 20 runs over the course of four innings in their run-rule 20-2 victory over Lago Vista.

Hornet tennis players qualify for regional tournament

Lometa’s varsity tennis teams brought home some impressive hardware last Wednesday, with numerous Hornets qualifying for the regional tournament. Lometa had performed well in large tournaments over the past month and continued the success at the district tournament in Brady.

Doubles teams heading to regional competition

The doubles teams of Clayton Shaw/Allison Valdez and Nate Champion/Clyde Ashfield, as well as singles players Luke Rogers and Sierra Vincent, will compete at the regional tennis tournament on Saturday and Sunday.

Badgers give up late lead in loss to Marble Falls

The Badger baseball team played another solid game for five innings on the road against the Marble Falls Mustangs. However, the 7-3 lead Lampasas had built quickly evaporated after the Mustangs got hot at the plate in the final couple of innings.

Middle school track teams finish on podium at Burnet meet

The Lampasas Middle School track teams competed in Burnet last week, and both the boys’ and girls’ teams found success. The LMS seventh- and eighth-grade girls’ track teams each finished third – the seventh-graders with 76 points, and the eighthgraders with 87 points.
