The Lady Badger softball team hit the road Tuesday night and took care of business. The girls tallied 13 hits and 20 runs over the course of four innings in their run-rule 20-2 victory over Lago Vista.

Lometa’s varsity tennis teams brought home some impressive hardware last Wednesday, with numerous Hornets qualifying for the regional tournament. Lometa had performed well in large tournaments over the past month and continued the success at the district tournament in Brady.

The Badger baseball team played another solid game for five innings on the road against the Marble Falls Mustangs. However, the 7-3 lead Lampasas had built quickly evaporated after the Mustangs got hot at the plate in the final couple of innings.

The Lampasas Middle School track teams competed in Burnet last week, and both the boys’ and girls’ teams found success. The LMS seventh- and eighth-grade girls’ track teams each finished third – the seventh-graders with 76 points, and the eighthgraders with 87 points.
