Lady Badgers close non-district schedule with win over Waco

The Lampasas girls’ basketball team continued its winning ways to close out the non-district schedule when they beat Waco High 51-39 on Tuesday night.The Lady Badgers struggled a bit out of the gate, as they fell behind 16-6 after the first quarter.

Boys’ soccer team wins over Copperas Cove

A hat trick by one of the Badgers was the catalyst for a 3-1 win over Copperas Cove for the Lampasas Badgers soccer team playing at home Tuesday night.Chris Mendoza bagged all three goals for the Badgers in the victory over the Conference 6A school.

Soccer team goes 2-1 in first tournament of the season

The Badger soccer team played in its first tournament of the season last weekend in Gatesville. Lampasas went 2-1 in its three matches with a 2-1 loss to Waco Robinson, a 3-1 win over Waco Connally and a 1-0 win over Hillsboro.Against Robinson, the lone goal scorer was Jeremiah Canto.

Lampasas wrestler finishes seventh at massive tournament

Over the weekend, the Lampasas wrestling team competed at the Cy-Fair Invitational alongside 90 other teams.There was one big-time standout for the Badgers, as Kaiden Fernandez finished seventh after battling in a 68-team bracket, according to head coach Donovan Kleckner.
