The Badgers continue to run a successful athletic program year after year, and 2023 was no exception. The main focus of every athletic year starts with the football team.

The Badger basketball team finished its pre-Christmas schedule with back-to-back games on the road against Stephenville and Hamilton on Monday and Tuesday. A 42-38 loss to Stephenville on Monday was followed by a dominant victory over Hamilton at 72-43.

Tuesday was the last basketball game before Christmas for the Lady Badgers, and they struggled against a very talented Hamilton team. Lampasas lost 62-34.

Lampasas rodeo star wins third world championship in barrel racing

Lampasas resident Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi is now a three-time world champion barrel racer after the National Finals Rodeo last weekend. The barrel racer claimed the third world title of her career, and she has done it on the back of a recordbreaking season in more ways than one.
