The Lady Badger basketball team has lost games this season when the girls were leading or right in the contest at halftime but then struggled when the second half started. On Saturday, when district play opened with a home game against Lago Vista, the Lady Badgers did just the opposite.

Four Lampasas Middle School cheerleaders traveled to Florida to perform in the Varsity Spirit Orlando Thanksgiving Tour at Walt Disney World over their Thanksgiving break. Two eighth-graders, Brynnley Chappell and Rylee McKittrick, and two seventh-graders, Kase Bumpus and Gia Grasso, earned the designation of All-American Cheerleader this past summer at cheer camp with the Universal Cheerleaders Association, according to Jennifer Chappell, a counselor at the middle school.

The Badger basketball team hit the road Friday night to take on a former district foe in the Glen Rose Tigers. In a game that was tightly contested from start to finish, Lampasas emerged victorious at 46-43.

The Badger basketball team played host to the Blanco Panthers on Tuesday night and dominated the second half of the game to win 75-61. The Badgers move to 18-4 this season.

The Lady Badger basketball team took on the Gatesville Lady Hornets Tuesday night, and the two teams went back and forth before Gatesville separated in the third quarter to create a double-digit lead.

The Badger basketball team went 3-1 last weekend in its final tournament of the season. Playing at Latexo High School, Lampasas started the tournament with two dominant wins: 80-45 over Cayuga and 77-45 over Kennard.
