Lampasas athletes offered physicals on campus

Three days next week, physicals will be offered at Lampasas school campuses for athletes who need a physical prior to next school year.On May 5-6, physicals will be conducted at Lampasas Middle School from 8-10:45 a.m. each day at the Bozarth-Fowler Gym.

City pools to open next month for summer season

May is the month when the city’s pools will open officially for the summer.Dates and hours for the pools are as follows.Hancock Springs Free-Flow Pool will open May 22 and stay available for swimmers through Sept. 7. Pool hours will be noon to 5 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
