Hornet golfer finishes sixth at state tournament

Last week, Lometa Hornet David Carr got his shot at the state golf tournament, and he finished tied for sixth in the 1A high school classification.Carr shot 78 on the first day and 85 on the second day to round out the tournament.After the first round, Carr sat tied for third place.

Badgers’ season ends after three-game series with China Spring

After three games in the bi-district round of the playoffs, the Badger baseball team had its season come to an end.Lampasas came out hot in the best-two-ofthree series against China Spring when the Badgers took game one on Thursday with a 12-2 run-rule victory in six innings.

Junior high golf team plays in district tournament

The boys’ middle school golf team finished as district champions after a stellar performance at the district tournament last week.Lampasas shot a team score of 155, led by Layton Eckermann who shot 37 to finish as the first-place individual.

Lampasas athletes compete at regional track meet

The regional track meet in Bullard saw several Badgers and Lady Badgers compete for their chance to qualify for the state meet at The University of Texas.In order to advance, the individuals or relay teams needed to finish in the top two in their event.

Lampasas athletes offered physicals on campus

Three days this week, physicals will be offered at Lampasas school campuses for athletes who need a physical prior to next school year.On May 5-6, physicals will be conducted at Lampasas Middle School from 8-10:45 a.m. each day at the Bozarth-Fowler Gym.
