Scoring has been tougher for the Lady Badger basketball team over the last few games, and last Friday’s road contest against the Jarrell Lady Cougars saw the trend continue. The Lady Badgers managed only 37 points in a 66-37 loss, and nearly half of those came from Mia Mulcahy, who finished with 15 points.

The Badger and Lady Badger powerlifting teams competed at their home meet on Thursday, and they both finished as winners. The boys’ team fielded 23 different competitors and finished with a total of 52 points -- 12 more than second-place Marble Falls.

The Lometa Lady Hornets took on Rochelle last Friday in their third district game of the season, and they emerged victorious in dominant fashion, 36-18. The girls jumped out to a 10-2 lead after an aggressive first quarter, and they were up seven at halftime.

The Lampasas boys’ and girls’ powerlifting teams started their seasons last week when they traveled to Burnet for their first meet. The Badger powerlifting team scored 22 points to finish fourth overall.
