Soccer association seeks players for fall season

The Lampasas Soccer Association is seeking players for its boys’ 16U (born in 2007 and younger), 15U (born in 2008 and younger) and 13U (born in 2009 and younger) teams. LSA teams play in the Capital Area Youth Soccer Association leagues and travel to away games in the greater Austin area.

Badgers compete against Navasota in final tune-up

The Badgers traveled to Navasota on Friday to play in the second and final scrimmage of the year before heading to Brownwood this week for the first game that will count of the 2021 season. The scrimmage utilized a format in which the two teams’ first- and second-team offenses and defenses took turns against each other before playing a 15-minute, running-clock live quarter.

Tennis squad splits matches

The Badger tennis team lost on Friday and won Saturday in matches against Pflugerville and Leander, respectively. Lampasas lost the first team match against Pflugerville 7-12.

Cross country sees success in first meet

The Lampasas boys’ and girls’ varsity cross country teams competed in their first meet of the year in Temple on Friday. The Lady Badgers finished third overall, and Abby Valdez medaled with a 14 th -place finish individually.
