Varsity tennis team avoids bad weather in matches at Marble Falls

Last Friday, the varsity tennis team played in a large tournament in Marble Falls. Lampasas had three doubles teams finish in first, second and third.

Middle school track teams race through Academy

Last week, both the boys’ and girls’ Lampasas Middle School track teams headed to Academy for a meet. Three of the four teams finished in the top two while competing against 12 other middle schools.Both the seventh-grade and eighth-grade boys’ teams won the meet.

Previous Badger basketball players reunite

Members of the 1969-1970 Badger basketball team were able to reunite last Saturday at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor along with some of their rivals from that season players from Gatesville, Taylor and Belton were also in attendance to reminisce with old teammates and opponents.

Lady Badgers get offense going to beat Jarrell

Although it wasn’t the prettiest win, the Lady Badger softball team held on to pick up their first district win of the season, 12-10 over Jarrell.The Lady Badgers started a little slowly but got their offense going and jumped out to an 8-1 lead by the top of the fifth inning.

Soccer team closes district play with loss to Stephenville

The Badger soccer team’s regular season came to an end last night with a 5-2 loss to Stephenville on the road.The two goals in the match came from Juan Rodriguez and Parker Boykin, while an assist went to Chris Mendoza.Head coach Samuel Burnside said the man of the match was Rodriguez.

Girls’ soccer team battles with Stephenville

The Lampasas girls’ soccer team ended the regular season Tuesday with a matchup against Stephenville on the road. The Lady Badgers battled for the entire game but came up short in a 2-0 defeat.Head coach Kim Burnside said her team came out, played fast and competed hard for the entire 80 minutes.
