The softball season is underway after completion of the first tournament of the year. The Lady Badgers traveled to Stephenville last weekend to take on some tough competition.

Probably some 40% or more of the Texas high school basketball teams ended their seasons last week, and those athletes have moved on to baseball, track and whatever other activities they have for the rest of the school year.

The Lady Badger soccer team played hard in one of their best games of the season last week against Academy. Lampasas lost 2-1, but the Lady Badgers competed for the full 80 minutes as their young team continues to grow.

Taylor Martell and Charlie Freese have each had stellar years for the Lady Badgers in wrestling. They were able to put a cherry on top of their seasons last weekend at the state wrestling tournament when they placed fourth and fifth, respectively, in their weight classes.
