On Tuesday night, the Lady Badger softball team had trouble with errors and lost 10-5 to Burnet.Lampasas jumped out to a lead in the second inning with a two-run homer by Laynee Bretey. But they would give that lead right back, as Burnet scored two runs in the top of the third.

For the first time in district play, the Badger baseball team faced a true test and had to play a full seven innings to beat the Burnet Bulldogs 6-4 on the road Tuesday night.Calum Mitchell got the start on the mound.

Golf team gearing up for district tournament with recent competition

Over recent weeks, the Lampasas golf teams have played in tournaments including one at Legends Golf Club in Kingsland, the site of the district tournament next week.On March 13-14, both the boys’ and girls’ golf teams played in a state preview tournament at the venue.

Former Badger gets 250th career win as soccer coach

Jason Carnley, a 1999 graduate of Lampasas High School, picked up his 250th career win coaching high school girls’ soccer. Carnley is currently the head coach at Lago Vista High School.
