Biden’s fabled bipartisanship

Body
I haven’t seen much humor in life during the past year or so, but one thing that has been uproariously hilarious lately is the orchestrated media narrative that President Joe Biden is bipartisan and conciliatory. Please give me a moment to catch my breath.

Keep Nine for an independent judiciary

Body
Congressional Democrats have introduced legislation that would add four more justices to the U.S. Supreme Court, boosting the number of justices on the bench from nine to 13, as Democrat congressional leaders are going all-in on packing the Supreme Court. This is just more evidence that the very slender, far-left Democrat majority intends to seize and maintain power using any tactic available, even if it means destroying the independence of the judicial branch of government.

Fans intentionally walk after baseball’s activism

Body
The 2021 baseball season isn’t even a month old, and it’s already over for some fans. Why? Because the Left ruins everything. Sports, entertainment, toys, snack cakes, you name it. Their wokeness is a cancer, and it’s taking every enjoyable, unifying, non-political piece of American life and destroying it.

A big ‘Thank you’ offered

Body
A big “Thank you” to all who stopped and put out a fire next to my gate on U.S. Highway 281 South on Monday, April 12. If you had not stopped, the fire would have spread and been much worse, especially since phone lines were down and fire departments in both Burnet and Lampasas were difficult to contact.

Open Hanna Springs pool

Body
Summer and warmer weather will soon be upon us, and school will adjourn for the year. We moved to Lometa, Lampasas County, two years ago. We were delighted to discover the Hanna Springs Swimming Pool and park. Our grandchildren loved the water slide, and the shallow end was great for our 3-yearold grandson. We enjoyed the pool many times in 2019.

Let’s help Lampasas grow, but not make it like Marble Falls

Body
After spending almost a year searching for a home (acreage) with certain criteria, my husband and I (both retired) moved to Lampasas about 3½ years ago without knowing a soul in town. We later learned that my husband’s great-great-grandfather is listed on the 1870 census as owning the mercantile store on the town square plus several more lots around the square before and during the time the courthouse was built. His family moved on to New Mexico in 1872.
