Ida Jo Holley, who with her husband Bill Holley owned and operated Lampasas Livestock Auction for many years, died on Oct. 6, 2024. She was 94.Visitation with the family will be held Oct. 31 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas.Services will take place Nov. 1 at 11 a.m.

Sophia Herrera Torres, 60, died on Oct. 13, 2024, in Lampasas.Born on Jan. 29, 1964, Sophia spent her life in the place she always called home, graduating from Lampasas High School.

Tony Gamez, 68, died on Oct. 9, 2024, at his home in Lampasas.The Knights of Columbus of St. Mary will pray a Holy Rosary on Oct. 18 at 6 p.m. at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas. Visitation will follow until 8 p.m.Funeral Mass will be held Oct. 19 at St. Mary Catholic Church at 10 a.m.

Mrs. Odom-Cox

Mrs. Marilynn “Gail” Odom-Cox was born July 4, 1952, in Clarksville, Tennessee, to Evalyn Edwina Barefoot Odom and Robert Michael Odom.She married James C. Cox on Sept. 18, 1994, in Lometa, Texas.Gail was an EMT for over 15 years.

Michael Jay Morse of Pearsall died on Oct. 7 in San Antonio.Services were held for him Oct. 12 at First Baptist Church in Pearsall. Primrose Funeral Services in Devine had charge of arrangements.Mike was born Nov. 20, 1958, to Charles Morse Sr. and Beatrice “Bea” Galindo.

Christine Asher Wilson, 100, died on Oct. 8, 2024, at Lampasas Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.She was born on June 20, 1924, in Lampasas, to Floyd Asher and Ellen Smith Asher.Christine grew up in Lampasas and graduated from Lampasas High School in 1941.
