Angela Marie (Thorman) Stamness, 52, died on March 31, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with multiple health complications and a latestage cancer diagnosis. Despite the hardships she faced, Angela’s spirit remained unbreakable.

Bobbie Christine (Clark) Chapman, 87, of Kempner died on March 22, 2025.Funeral services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on March 31 at 11:30 a.m., with visitation an hour prior. Graveside services will follow at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen at 2 p.m.

Mr. Bessent

Rex Alden Bessent was born on May 7, 1945, in Brownwood, to Melvin Newton Bessent and Ione Stanley Bessent. He grew up on the family farm near the Duren Community in Mills County. He thoroughly enjoyed his time growing up in that area with his brothers Stanley Bessent and Lanny Bessent.

A celebration of the life of Patsy Morene Ballow Moore will be held March 29, 2025 at 1 p.m. at the First Methodist Church in Evant. Mrs. Juby

Mary E. Juby, also known as “Nana Juby,” died March 12, 2025, in Lampasas.She was born on Nov. 1, 1927, in Georgetown into a large family of 10 siblings.Her father, Jesse James Chambers, and wife, Annie Lee Teague Chambers, moved to Briggs to find work as a sharecropper.

Marsha Kay Norris, 71, died in her sleep on March 11, 2025.Memorial services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on March 21 at 2 p.m.

Mr. Copeland

Marcus Coley Copeland, 77, of Crockett died on the morning of March 8, 2025, at Central Texas Veterans Hospital in Temple.Born on March 29, 1947 in Big Spring, Marcus was the son of the late Monroe W. Copeland and Rosezena Smart, a proud member of the Comanche Nation.
