Timothy DeWayne Walker, 80, died on Aug. 7, 2025, on his land in Kempner.Services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Aug. 12 at 11 a.m., with visitation an hour prior.Tim was born on Dec. 19, 1944, in Lampasas to Clarence W. Walker and Modie Estelle Trousdale Walker.

Mrs. Spivey

Bonita Alice Spivey, 81, died on July 26, 2025, at her residence in Lampasas.Bonita was born on Sept. 13, 1943, in Smackover, Arkansas, to Harvey and Ivy Hardage Adams.The family moved to Monahans, Texas, when she was young. She attended Monahans schools, where she graduated in 1962.

Mr. Gholson

Eldon Allen Gholson, 86, of Lampasas, died on July 28, 2025. He was born on Jan. 2, 1939, in Hamilton to James and Amy (Young) Gholson.Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on Aug. 3 from 5-7 p.m.Services will be held on Aug. 4 at 10 a.m.

Mr. Barcenas

Victorío Araiza Bárcenas, 67, of Lampasas, died peacefully at his home on July 24, 2025.He was born on Jan. 12, 1958, in Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato, Mexico to the late Antonio Araiza and Eustacia Araiza Bárcenas.Victorío had made Lampasas his home since 1992.

Vanita Lenore Haynes Craft Schnorrenberg of Kempner died on June 11, 2025 in Smithville. She was 93.She was well known in the Kempner community, having been assistant postmaster and interim postmaster on occasion.

Mr. Fox

Michael Dean Fox, 81, died on July 19, 2025, in his hometown of Lampasas.A memorial service will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on July 25 at 2 p.m., with a time to visit after the service. A private burial will take place at a later date.Born on Jan. 9, 1944, to Joe Henry Fox Jr.

Mrs. Parsons

Sylvia Darlene Bagby Parsons, 79, died July 13, 2025 from multiple health complications.She was born in Lampasas on July 22, 1945 to Bruce and Mildred Bagby.

Mrs. Hutchinson

Linda Hutchinson died peacefully on July 17, 2025 in her home, surrounded by family. A joyful reflection of life, not mourning, is how Linda wanted her family and friends to celebrate her departure from this world.Linda was born Dec. 14, 1941, in Taylor to Morris and Modine Flaningan.

Mrs. Cox

Linda Ann Cox died on July 15, 2025, in Lampasas.Born on Sept. 11, 1946 in Burnet, Linda lived a life marked by her unwavering faith, love for family and commitment to serving others.Linda graduated from Bertram High School in 1965, and shortly thereafter married Roy Don Cox on June 12, 1965.

Mr. Rodgers

Aubrey Leonard Rodgers Jr., 90, died on July 8, 2025 at Lampasas Assisted Living in Lampasas.A memorial service will be held at Vinyard Funeral Home in Floresville at 3 p.m. July 19. Visitation will be at Vinyard Funeral Home at the same time. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
