Terry Wayne Justice, known as “TJ,” was born in Big Spring on March 29, 1952.As a child, his family moved frequently while his father worked in the construction industry, eventually settling in Lampasas where Terry graduated with the Class of 1970.

JD Hatley

John “JD” Hatley, 18, of Lampasas, died on July 17, 2026.JD was born on May 18, 2008 in Georgetown to Richard and Lori Hatley.From a young age, he brought energy, sassy humor and kindness to everyone around him.

Ms. Loden

Bonnie Gay Loden, 73, of Lampasas, died July 14, 2026, peacefully at home.Services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on July 25 at 2 p.m., with visitation an hour prior. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.Bonnie was born on Nov. 27, 1952, to Tom and Della Mae Loden.

Mrs. Banner

Janis Beth Capps Banner died peacefully at the age of 88. She was born on April 7, 1938, in Mason to J.B. Capps and Dorothy Saunders Capps.Janis was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Macon Banner; her daughter, Jessica Blair Jones Wright; and her nephew, Shaun Capps.

Mrs. Clark

Gloria Jane Clark was born on Sept. 7, 1943, in Lampasas County. On July 14, 2026, after battling chronic kidney disease for many years, she died surrounded by her family in Bend, Texas.Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on July 17 from 6-8 p.m.

Mr. Banks

James Edward 'Eddy' Banks, 71, of Lampasas died peacefully on June 30, 2026.Eddy was born on April 23, 1955, in Lampasas to Waymon Edward Banks and Margaret Maurine Harrison Banks.

Mrs. Loader

Wilma Chaffin Loader, 100, died peacefully in her sleep at home in Lampasas on June 10, 2026.Funeral services for Mrs. Loader will be held July 10, 2026 at 12 p.m. at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas, with the Rev. Rick Willis officiating.

Mr. Cox

After a battle with cancer. Richard Dewayne Cox, age 58, died May 7, 2026 under hospice care at his home in Azle.Richard and his twin brother Roger were born on Aug. 15, 1967, in Burnet to Roy Don Cox and Linda Ann DeLeon Cox.He spent his childhood years living in Burnet, Llano and Dublin.

Mr. Davis

Harold Franklin Davis, 78, of Lampasas, died peacefully on June 16, 2026, at his residence.He was born on Dec. 16, 1947, in Paintsville, Kentucky, to O.W. Davis and Deloris (Crum) Davis.Harold was a loving husband, father and grandfather who faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army.

Services set July 8 for Ruthie Martin

Ruth Richardson Martin, longtime high school English teacher, died July 1, 2026, just days before her 83rd birthday.Services will be held July 8 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church, with Dr. Rick Willis to officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
