Mr. Justice

Terry Wayne Justice, known as “TJ,” was born in Big Spring on March 29, 1952.

As a child, his family moved frequently while his father worked in the construction industry, eventually settling in Lampasas where Terry graduated with the Class of 1970.

After high school, Terry attended Howard Payne University before continuing his education at Texas Tech University.

He began his career in retail, starting with H-E-B, while spending his summers as a lifeguard. Throughout the years, he built a career with companies including L’Oréal, Hanes Hosiery, Albertsons and Allsup’s. He found his professional home at Walmart, where he served for 24 years before retiring.

Terry embraced life with enthusiasm and curiosity. He enjoyed hiking, bowling, dancing and exploring new interests. A man of many talents and trades, he was always willing to lend a helping hand, learn something new or share his knowledge with others.

Above all, Terry loved people. He had a gift for making others laugh, bringing joy into every room he entered and making everyone feel welcome. His kind heart, quick wit and warm smile left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Terry shared life with his wife, Debbie. Together they built a family that was the center of his world.

In his later years, Terry faced many health challenges with faith, courage and determination. He hoped his journey would serve as a testimony that, with God by your side, you can find strength to face even life’s greatest hardships. Through it all, he kept his smile, treasured every moment with his family and continued to encourage those around him.

He died on June 29, 2026, rejoining his father and mother who preceded him in death.

He leaves behind a host of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as a brother and sister, Pat Justice and Cathy Roberts.
