Marjorie Christine Hamrick, 77, of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2026.
Born on November 27, 1948, Marjorie lived her life with a vibrant, independent spirit, bringing strength and warmth to everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Waymon Edward and Margaret Maurine Banks, and her two brothers, Wayne Banks and Eddy Banks.
Her greatest pride and joy in life was her family. She was a deeply devoted mother to her son, Wesley, and a loving mother-in-law to his wife, Tara. Marjorie’s heart grew even larger as a grandmother, and she cherished every moment spent with her beautiful granddaughters, Madison and Isabelle.
Marjorie also shared a profound, lasting bond with her closest friend, Tom Bobbit, whose companionship and support meant the world to her. At home, she was rarely seen without her faithful dog, Bently, who brought her endless comfort and happiness. Her memory will be forever cherished by her son, Wesley, and his wife, Tara; her granddaughters, Madison and Isabelle; her close friend, Tom; and her surviving siblings, Katrinka Perry, Audra Lagesse, and John Banks. She also leaves behind a loving circle of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date in her hometown of Lampasas, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to a local animal shelter or charity in honor of her love for Bently.
