James Thomas Phelan, 84, of Keller died on Jan. 25, 2021.
Graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 2 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas. Mr. Phelan was born
Mr. Phelan was born March 21, 1936 to lifelong Lampasas residents Jesse Tolbert and Hollis Marie Phelan. He will be laid to rest by his wife of 43 years, Freda.
James was an avid hunter with many trophies to show his marksmanship. He had a love for golfing which started at a young age while working at Hancock Park Golf Course. He was a diehard Cowboy fan, no matter how the season was going. His most-favorite times were spent with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mr. Phelan is survived by his wife Reba; daughter Sherry Campbell and husband Michael of Boyd; son Brian Phelan and Tamara of Keller; three grandchildren, Samantha Verden and husband Christopher of Fort Worth, Kelly Tippins of Keene, and grandson Corry Phelan and wife Christina of Midland; four great-grandchildren, Alana, Jesse, Lakin and Connor; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, William Phelan and Jimmy Phelan of Lampasas.
