Mr. Bertrand

Jerry W. Bertrand, 76, died on Feb. 13, 2021 at Seton Medical Center in Harker Heights.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Feb. 22 at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas.

Jerry was born Sept. 19, 1944 in Crowley, Louisiana to Joseph M. Bertrand and Viola Sarver Bertrand. He grew up in Ebenezer, Louisiana, and graduated from Crowley High School in 1964.

After high school, he began work as a butcher, a career that lasted 50 years.

He married Lynette Faubion in 1965, in Highlands, Texas, and they were married for 55 years.

Jerry enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He attended all their sporting events. He loved to barbecue and cooked at the Houston Livestock Show.

Jerry was preceded in death by two brothers.

Survivors include his spouse, Lynette of Lampasas; daughter, Shelia Haynes and husband Terry of Lampasas; sons Bradley Bertrand and wife Regina of Lampasas, and Steve Bertrand and Autumn of Abilene; a brother, Robert Bertrand of Crowley, La.; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and "adopted" children and grandchildren.
