DISTRICT COURT

Lampasas County 27th District Court convened last week with Judge John Gauntt presiding over the day’s hearings. Tommy Ray Hultz of Kempner received 20-year sentences in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division on multiple charges: burglary of a habitation, possession of a controlled substance greater than or equal to 4 grams and less than 200 grams, burglary of a building, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram, theft of property greater than or equal to $1,500 and less than $20,000, and bail jumping and failure to appearfelony.

GRAND JURY

Lampasas County grand jury convened Wednesday to continue the July term. Investigator Wayne Hilgenberg of the Lampasas County Sheriff’s Office presented information that resulted in two indictments: Zachary John Dabney on a charge of possession of a controlled substancemethamphetamine on April 28.
