AgriLife to offer drone program July 18 in Lampasas

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service is offering a “Drones in Agriculture” program on July 18.The program agenda includes talks by Megan Clayton, Extension range specialist, on “Using Drones on Ranches” at 9 a.m.

Lampasas County 27th District Court convened last week with Judge Debbie Garrett presiding over the day’s hearings.

The following arrests were reported to the Lampasas Dispatch Record by area law enforcement officials. The Dispatch Record prints the name and charge(s) of people arrested on at least one Class B misdemeanor – or more serious – charge.

Utility officials address water discoloration

Water discoloration was one of many topics addressed in a list of online-posted responses by Lampasas Public Utilities after resident inquiries were made at a June 19 town hall.Residents have echoed concerns on Facebook about water they feel is not safe to consume or use due to a brownish tint.

Longtime educators named parade marshals

Both Mickey and Jani Edwards have been in Lampasas for decades, and they both spent a long time as educators within the Lampasas ISD.Now, the two of them have been named the Spring Ho marshals for this year’s grand parade.
