Council names EDC members

The Lampasas City Council appointed five new members to the Lampasas Economic Development Corp. Board of Directors during a called meeting on Sept. 16.

Jason Roberts swings through Lampasas

Grammy Award-winning fiddle player Jason Roberts brought his band members to town Saturday, when his signature swing music highlighted the Western on Western Night fundraiser for the Lampasas County Museum. A member of the Lampasas High School Class of 1993, Roberts is a hometown favorite.

Burn ban reinstated

The Lampasas County Commissioners Court agreed to a 90-day burn ban in Monday’s regular meeting. The burn ban will continue until Dec. 22.

Area Marines to celebrate 250th anniversary of founding

L-M Garden Club holds September meeting

On Sept. 15, the L-M Garden and Civic Club held its first meeting of the 20252026 club year. Several new members were introduced, and they were welcomed to the club.Cat Cotman, with the assistance of Sam Patterson and Teresa Stewart, gave a presentation on medicinal plants grown in Texas.

Butterfly tagging set for Oct. 5

Community Bridge welcomes new players

Community Bridge welcomed three new players and the return of another on Sept. 8.At the end of the afternoon, Tom Griess took home first place, Barbara Smith was second, and Tim Cockburn and Linda Williams tied for third.
