Movie In The Park

The city’s Parks & Recreation Department will host the final Movie in Your Park of the year tonight at 8 p.m. at the 580 Sports Complex. Showing will be “The Wild Robot.” Bring outdoor chairs, blankets and movie snacks.

Lampasas Methodist Church held its annual Fall Festival Oct. 4.“It was a beautiful day of smiles, fun times and memories made,” festival chairman Vickie McQueen said. “Many volunteers helped make it a huge success!

Parental rights advocate to speak to Lampasas group

Texas First Conservative Alliance will meet Oct. 21 at 5:30 p.m. in the county annex building at 409 S. Pecan St. The public is encouraged to attend for a special presentation on parental rights and protecting children from potentially harmful content in school libraries.

Photographer Patsy Stoneham captured this image of the moon Monday night in west Lampasas. The Harvest Moon is the name given to the full moon that is closest to the autumn equinox. The Oct 6 moon was expected to be the largest and brightest full moon of the year so far.
