Lometa classmates hold reunion

The Lometa High School Class of 1978 held its reunion Sept. 16 in Lometa. Classmates in attendance were, men from left to right, Art Kirby, Ronnie Stewart, Mark Wittenburg, Joe Capps, David Stewart, Mick Hammond, Ted Dean, Brian Sullivan, Robert Rodriquez, and Dixon Brooks; and women, Donna Speaker Rogers, Lisa Crain VanNatta, Kathy Kendrick Henson and Debra Brister Rathke. The Class of 1978 remembered Chet Cockrell and Dwane Foster, who also had been part of the graduating class.

Learning about wine-making process

The Lampasas County Wine Tour took participants to several area wineries, where visitors could learn more about the wine-making process and sample locally produced beverages.
