Crawford to run for district clerk

Dee Ann Crawford has announced her candidacy for district clerk, the position currently held by Edith Wagner Harrison.An active member of the community, Crawford has been a resident of Lampasas since 2015.

School board discusses additional options for new LMS campus

Members of the Lampasas ISD Board of Trustees have come to the consensus that a future Lampasas Middle School should stay in its current location.

City manager resigns abruptly

At Monday’s Lampasas City Council meeting, members went into executive session to start the meeting, and after about an hour City Manager Troy Hill was called into the room with the council. He subsequently returned to council chambers, grabbed his business items and left.

One killed Sunday in U.S. 190 collision

A 51-year-old man from Belton was pronounced dead at the scene of a two-car crash on U.S. Highway 190 on Sunday morning.According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the 51-year-old man, Malena Mick, was the driver of a 2010 Ford Edge that was stopped on the westbound shoulder of U.S.

Farm Bureau holds annual meeting, recognizes individuals for ag advocacy

Lampasas County Farm Bureau’s County Convention was held Oct. 7 at the show barn. More than 140 Farm Bureau members attended, where a catered catfish meal with all the trimmings and banana pudding was served.

Swearing in a new police officer
