Senator Pete Flores makes stop in town

Texas Senator Pete Flores (R-Pleasanton) met with Lampasas County Farm Bureau members for a brief visit Wednesday morning. Mayor Herb Pearce and Sheriff Jess Ramos also attended to hear Flores address issues such as border security, county and municipal water needs, state budget matters and issues of concern for agricultural producers.

City revisits agreement on hike and bike trails

In a workshop Monday night, the Lampasas City Council discussed the formal agreement with a local bicycling group for continued development of the hike and bike trails at the 580 Sports Complex. Assistant City Manager Ryan Ward presented the council with a Memorandum of Understanding drafted by city staff that outlined the agreement between the city and Lampasas Trails, a local nonprofit trail biking group.
