New parks director hired from within city staff

In November, the city of Lampasas named Jessie Acosta as the new parks director. He started as a park technician in 2006 when he was 23 years old. Acosta now is in his new position and said he is excited to continue serving the city and improving the parks for residents to enjoy.

Hoyer outlines county’s options to limit proposed BESS facilities

Alzheimer’s series to be offered again in Lampasas

In partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association North Central Texas Chapter, Lampasas County Extension Agent Karen DeZarn will teach a two-part program on Alzheimer’s.The series will be offered at the Lampasas Senior Center, 901 S. Live Oak St., on April 21 and April 28 at 10 a.m.
