Titled “Past the Edges of Town: An introvert and her family embrace community in Lampasas,” the firstperson reflective piece describes Swann’s upbringing outside Sealy, then migration to Austin.

Fiery collision: Two-vehicle crash injures one

A two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning resulted in a fire and sent one man to the hospital for medical treatment. The collision occurred on the Lampasas County side of the Copperas Cove city limits at the corner of U.S.

Slightly warmer weather ahead

Although Lampasas was under a winter storm watch Wednesday and Thursday, with low temperatures that plunged into the teens, the freezing weather is expected to be replaced with more moderate conditions during the daytime after this weekend.

Senate hopeful visits Lampasas

Republican candidate Pete Flores of Pleasanton was in Lampasas last week for a meet-andgreet event at Putters & Gutters Fun Center, hosted by former game warden Jim Lindeman and Sheriff Jess Ramos. Flores, who retired as a colonel from his game warden career with Texas Parks & Wildlife, is campaigning to represent Senate District 24. Lt. Gov. County judge reappointed to transit board

Lampasas County Judge Randy Hoyer was reappointed to the Hill Country Transit District Board for another term. The district is an association of nine Central Texas communities that pool resources to provide low-cost transportation services, including The HOP bus system.
