Woman injured in house fire

An 84-year-old woman was sent to the hospital with severe burns after her house caught on fire Tuesday. The Lampasas County Sheriff’s Office received a call at 11:04 a.m.

Lampasas County 27 th District Court convened March 11 with Judge John Gauntt presiding over the day’s hearings. Defendant Brandon Lee Young of Lometa pleaded guilty to a charge of assault on a family/household member with a previous conviction and was found guilty.

Lampasas council seeks options for Hanna Springs renovations

In a unanimous decision Monday evening, the Lampasas City Council instructed municipal staff to move forward with engineering and recommendations for the renovation of Hanna Spring in Campbell Park. In November 2021, council members discussed the possibility of returning the spring to a more historical look by removing the retaining wall and installing more periodappropriate fencing.
